GILLINGHAM have beaten several clubs to the signature of goalkeeper Alan Julian who today became their first signing of the summer.
The 25-year-old signed a two-year deal at Priestfield to once again link up with manager Mark Stimson.
Julian, who has six caps for Northern Ireland under-21s, played under Stimson at Stevenage Borough.
His contract at Broadhall Way expired at the end of the season and a number of clubs were interested in his signature.
Stimson rates the stopper highly, telling Kentnews last week: “He’s definitely someone with potential, for the last three years he’s been the best goalkeeper outside the Football League.”
