More than 2,000 teenage fans – and a few thousand restrained parents – crammed into Rochester Castle Gardens for the gig.
The four McFly boys did not disappoint their adoring fans, working their way through the bulk of their back catalogue.
There was even time for a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday, in honour of newly 24-year-old lead guitarist and singer Tom Fletcher.
Rolling Stones cover band Counterfeit Stones drew a near capacity crowd for their opening night show, supported by the world’s foremost thrash mandolin player, former Young Ones star Ade Edmondson.
Jools Holland made his seventh consecutive Castle Concerts appearance on Friday night and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra played at the rousing Castle Proms night on Saturday.
Medway Council's leisure and culture boss Richard Hicks said: "Once again, our Castle Concerts were an overwhelming success with a range of acts that appealed to all tastes - we were particularly pleased to have McFly playing to a sell-out crowd.
"Taken together with our Under Siege event on the Sunday, giving a number of Medway's talented youngsters the chance to play on the same stage, with all the same technical support, we really feel we were able to offer something special for our young people.
"Elsewhere we have seen a number of concerts cancelled or lose money, so we were very pleased to be able to say we came in on budget too."
