This is star Kelly Brook as you’ve never seen her before - as the model stars in a new sci-fi TV series.

The model and actress, who grew up in Rochester and now lives in Grafty Green near Maidstone, appears alongisde stars Rutger Hauer and Scott Adkins in the upcoming series the Metal Hurlant Chronicles.

The French/UK adventure series is a live-action adaptation of the French science-fiction and horror comic anthology of the same name.

So far, 24 half-hour episodes have been approved and will screen as two 12-episode seasons scheduled for European delivery in April and November.

For Ms Brook it will be the latest crack at making her name for herself as an actress following previous attempts which have been diverse as a starring role in Piranha 3D and ITV1’s Marple.

Certainly she believes that had she looked to focus purely on one strand of an entertainment career she could be picking up an Oscar.

She said in a recent interview: “I often think if I had been better at focusing on one thing exclusively I’d have had an acting career like Kate Winslet or a career as a top dance

“In many ways I’ve gone with what people want me to do rather than what I want to do. I am changing that now.”
