Plan ahead, drive slower and brake in good time.
Motorists are being warned to look out for icy patches, with road surface temperatures expected to fall below freezing point overnight.
Main roads throughout the county will be gritted to help stop ice and frost forming on the road surfaces.
However, drivers should be careful on untreated roads overnight and into tomorrow morning.
The surface will be slippery and drivers are advised to avoid harsh braking, steering or acceleration to avoid skidding.
