Shopping centre scoops top Euro award for campaign

Hempstead Valley’s marketing team has scooped an international award in recognition of its innovative and creative fashion campaign.

The shopping centre’s Su Button won gold at the European Solal Marketing Awards, for her Fashion Features work.

Hempstead Valley came past entries from 19 countries, four of which were from the UK.

Speaking after the ceremony in Prague in the Czech Republic, marketing manager Ms Button said: “I felt very proud that my PR campaign was awarded a prestigious Gold Solal.

“It is fantastic that Hempstead Valley has gained international recognition, alongside the continued success and popularity of the centre with its loyal customers.”

Last year, Hempstead Valley won the highest marketing award and the British Council of Shopping Centres Purple Apple Award – given for outstanding creativity, cost-effectiveness and superb results - for the same fashion PR campaign.

The BCSC judges said the entry had demonstrated “clear objectives, a rational approach and well-researched results” and cited Ms Button for her dedication and enthusiasm in single-handedly managing the project.
