Hooded robber targets Medway bookmakers

A hooded robber is being hunted by police after holding up a Gillingham bookmakers.

The man raided the William Hill shop in Barnsole Road at 5pm yesterday, threatening staff and demanding money.

He fled on foot in the direction of the Livingstone Arms pub.

The suspect is black, 5ft 8in and of slim build.

He was wearing a dark blue or black hooded top and dark trousers. He was also carrying a white plastic carrier bag.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
