GILLINGHAM youth player Rimmel Daniel has received a call-up to Grenada’s squad for three qualifying matches for the CONCACAF Under-20 Championships.
The 17-year-old full-back from London signed for Gills last year and now has a chance to make a mark on the international stage.
The Spice Boyz host Group D of the competition and face games against the British Virgin Islands, Guyana and St Vincent & the Grenadines. Matches start today (Wednesday), with the final game scheduled for Sunday.
The winners of the five groups, along with the best four runners-up, will go through to the second round in September.
The teams are all trying to reach the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship hosted by Trinidad & Tobago in January. The best four teams there go on to the World Under-20 Championships in Egypt next summer.
