Garrison stadium to host London Origin games
Medway Dragons have 15 players involved in the London Origin games
HUNDREDS of rugby league fans from across the south east are expected to descend on Gillingham’s Garrison Stadium next week as it hosts the second game in the London Origin series.

The games are played between a team from players selected from north of the Thames against their counterparts from the south.

The first leg was played last week at the Stoop, home of Harlequins, and the deciding game has been awarded to the Garrison Stadium.

Despite only being in existence for a matter of months the Dragons have made impressive progress and have 15 players involved across the three age groups.

The games start at 7pm next Wednesday.

On the pitch the Dragons continue to make strides, with the under-13s recording a big win against Croydon Hurricanes last weekend.

It was just their fifth game together but they dominated the game and ran out 50-6 winners.

While the under-14s struggled against a well-drilled Hurricanes under-14s, Dragons’ under-16s fared better.

They showed great character to come back from a deficit at half-time to win 36-28.
