Attacks on wild birds in Kent nearly topped the tables in the south east, according to the RSPB.
Outside of London, Kent had the highest number of bird crime cases last year, with 22 wild birds and one bird of prey, a peregrine falcon, subjected to an attack.
Reports to the organisation include shootings, poisoning and nests being destroyed.
But this shows a big drop from 2007, when 32 incidents were reported in the county, including an unconfirmed shooting of a buzzard in Elham, a sparrowhawk reportedly shot in Doddington, and the suspected poisoning of an owl in Burham.
Other wildlife crimes in Kent over the years include a man reported to have kicked a starling to death in Sheerness and a person caught destroying house martin nests in the Sandwich area by blasting them off the side of a building with a garden hose.
